Printing, copying and scanning at College
The College has a number of 'Multi Functional Devices' or MFDs, around college. These are printers, photocopies and scanners built into one machine. When you print on any College PC, if you select 'FollowYou' as your printer, you can collect what you have printed, from any MFD, at anytime later. If there is a queue where you have gone to collect your printing you can come back later, or go to another MFD. Your printing won't be released until you have presented your card at an MFD, so no one else will pick it up by mistake.
The College gives all students a £5 allocation - in a few cases a higher amount has been given, as some courses need more printing - for printing. This should be enough to last you for your course. If you do need more however, just visit any library and they will be able to add credit to your account, though you have to pay for this.
As well as printing you can scan documents, to your College e-mail account for free (though you will of course have to pay to print these, if you do so at College) and photocopy.
Basic instructions on how to use the devices are at the bottom of this page. If you need any help with these, or other things the MFDs can do, ask your tutor, or visit one of the libraries.
